Through its annual awards and scholarships program, the Arts Council of Southern Indiana has been recognizing and honoring the talents of students, educators, artists, and advocates for the arts in our region since 1976. Local and regional awards are presented each year.

The Bravo Art Awards presentation will take place on May 29, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at the Pat Harrison Arts Center, 820 E. Market Street in New Albany. The following awards will be presented: Mayor's Art Awards, Artist of the Year Award, Arts Advocate of the Year Award, Arts Educator of the Year Award, and the HeARTbeat Award.

The Art Merit Awards and the Ed Adams Musical Arts Scholarship are presented at the schools' awards ceremony in May. The Best of Show Awards presentation takes place in May of each year at the art show and competition held at the Carnegie Center for the Arts in New Albany.
